Job Title: Autonomous Vehicle Operator
Location: Dallas, TX and Austin, TX
Pay: $21.00 – $27.00 per hour

Job Overview
In this role, you will operate autonomous test vehicles to support on-road testing while ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance.
You will help collect critical data on system performance and environmental conditions, contributing directly to the advancement of autonomous vehicle technology.
This role is well suited for attentive, safety-focused drivers who are comfortable working in dynamic driving environments and can respond quickly and responsibly to changing road conditions.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate autonomous vehicles safely and lawfully during on-road testing
• Monitor vehicle performance and system behavior in real time
• Conduct in-field testing to support operational safety and system development
• Prepare vehicles daily for testing, including safety checks and system readiness
• Submit detailed reports to support system improvements and operational insights
• Interact professionally with riders, engineers, and operations staff
• Remain alert, focused, and distraction-free while operating vehicles
• Anticipate and respond appropriately to other drivers, pedestrians, and unexpected events
Requirements
• Valid U.S. driver’s license held for at least 3 years
• Clean driving record with no DUI, drug, or alcohol-related offenses within the last 5 years
• Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and safe driving practices
• Ability to anticipate hazards and react quickly and safely
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and on different road types
• High sense of responsibility and safety-first mindset
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience operating autonomous or electric vehicles
• Background as a professional driver, driving instructor, or motorsports participant
• Knowledge of vehicle technology or control systems
• Completion of safe driving or defensive driving courses
