Company Description: CareFlite is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ambulance service sponsored by Baylor Scott & White Health, JPS Health Network, Methodist Health System, Parkland, and Texas Health Resources. CareFlite provides medical transport by helicopter, airplane, and ground ambulance, and non-medical transport via wheelchair van.
Job Description
Primary Function:
This position serves to support CareFlite’s daily operations in the administration, air and ground divisions. You will be responsible for assisting in support services, delivering products, rendering services and collecting equipment, mail or products to be distributed within the company.
Location:
Based out of Corporate Headquarters with 90% drive time around the DFW metroplex.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with occasional weekends and evenings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate CareFlite vehicles to deliver various items such as medical supplies, medical equipment, and non-medical equipment, mail, and office supplies to CareFlite locations, sponsor facilities and other places of business.
- Receive daily delivery routes and work closely with management to ensure all paperwork and liability related documentation is accurate and documented.
- Responsible for secured pickup and delivery of inventory to various CareFlite locations.
- Ensure that all DOT and traffic regulations are maintained and followed.
- Performs daily fluid checks on delivery vehicles as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements of the job:
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a courier.
- Maintain all certifications and skills required to function as a courier.
- Knowledge of liquid oxygen systems
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Confidence operating a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions and navigating routine hazards of the road.
- Ability to understand and read maps or GPS.
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively on company radio.
- Satisfy all applicable Department of Transportation requirements.
- Ability to work weekends and flexible range of hours as needed including holidays.
Certificates, License, Registrations:
- Current Texas Department of Public Safety Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
- Liquid Oxygen/Cryogenic Transfilling training class obtained within 6 months of hire.
